Bridal Tea Party

On August 25, 2012, our AMAZING bridal party threw us a beautiful bridal shower! They spent months planning and worked incredibly hard to make sure that Cori and I didn't know the details. All Cori and I knew was the date because Cori needed to be able to request the day off from work. Did we mention that our girls are amazing?!

You are cordially invited to our Bridal Tea Party <3

Meet the Bridal Party...

Our Bridal Party

From left to right: Andrea (Stephy's best friend since high school), Debbie (Stephy's sister and maid of honor), Stephy and Cori (the brides), Natalie (Cori's sister and maid of honor), and Yvonne (Cori's best friend since high school)

Side Note: In addition to our girls, Stephanie also has her older brother, Jason, serving as an honor attendant. We also have our beloved boxer, Madison, serving as our dog of honor.

We decided to keep the bridal shower strictly females as too not overwhelm our maids with large number of guests. The manor was filled with many of our female friends and family. Cori and I both felt nervous and excited! After we made our rounds, thanking everyone for their support and attendance, our breathing finally slowed and we were able to truly take in all the hard work that went into this day.The manor was decorated beautifully and the food was absolutely delicious. There were vegetarian options that did not consist of only eggplant parm or pasta and our favors consist of seeds for our guest to plant, which reflects our Eco-friendly lifestyle. The centerpieces were were ceramic tea pots, which featured beautiful potted flowers and were given to our guest as prizes for the bridal shower games. Not to mention, the tea party theme was brilliant and compliments the Victorian-themed aspect of our wedding.

Bridal Shower Game: Toilet Paper Bride

We absolutely loved playing the Newlywed Game and wathcing our guests play Toilet Paper Bride. During the latter games, guest were split into four groups and one member of each group had to model a "wedding dress" created from toilet paper, designed by the other group members. Our guests were so detailed-oriented and they put in quite the effort into creating toilet paper dresses. We especially loved the toilet paper wedding shoes, head pieces, and my mother's cave-woman wedding dress. As the brides, Cori and I were given the roles as judges and had to choose the best toilet paper wedding dress. Our friend Amanda, rocking the toilet paper shoes, was the winner! During the Newlywed Game, Cori and I were asked a series of questions about each other that ranged from biggest fears to favorite color. Our guests had to estimate how many questions they thought that Cori and I would answer correctly. This game made Cori and I realize how much we truly understand and listen to each other without measuring the significance of the subject matter.

We are forever grateful for the beautiful bridal shower that our bridal party planned for us and for the abundant amount of support given from our family and friends, as well as gifts that Cori and I received, which were incredibly thoughtful. We feel truly honor to have such wonderful people in our lives. xo
